Dreams, Kicks & Bruises

Dreams, Kicks & Bruises
Memorial Day, 2014

Setting: Master Po take 6 different pills each morning and another 12 each evening.  This apparently have accumulating effect on dreams the past 8 years.  At times murderous villains chasing Master Po in dream causing Mrs. Po to be on high alert while also trying to get good night’s sleep.

Saturday night Master Po find himself in dream, not in dire straits fighting for his life. Instead I’m in starting blocks in hurdle race against other senior citizens in “Young at Heart Games.” While Master Po get ready for commands from starter, “take your mark…etc.,” I also get ready, in similar position in bed. In dream I am upright, in reality I lying on left side facing Mrs. Po. My “get ready” position cause Mrs. Po to awaken just enough to save her life – she not take medications that Master Po take, although she soon may feel the need to start.

This good time in story to point out that in dream Master Po not have knee problems, heart valve or breathing issues, enlarged prostate gland or any other ailments for which the meds are necessary.  In fact, Master Po in awesome shape in dream. He capable of winning fight against honorable David Carradine in kung fu battle.

Race Start:   Gun go off and I sprint to first hurdle. Rememba, legs in fact are in full running motion and then I thrust out lead leg with robust kick to clear first hurdle. I taking early lead in dream and feel confident in victory. In reality, Master Po kicking Mrs. Po repeatedly, and then thrust right leg into her body with violent intentions. She have full right according to US constitution to retaliate cause she not know Master Po is running race.

Soooo….she kick back like Oscar Pistorius running on Energizer Battery. This not new for Mrs. Po cause she does suffer from “restless leg syndrome” – (ailment caused by lack of sleep with dreaming violent husband in bed.)  And she thrust her own kick to Master Po abdomen and tender body area. She obviously do this on purpose. I awake in shock, pleading for forgiveness saying “Sorry, sorry….” Mrs. Po only turn over and protect herself by exposing her backside to Master Po in case further attacks are eminent.

Next morning:  As master Po examine bruises next morning while having coffee, Mrs. Po awaken and ask favorite morning question, “Having bad dreams again last night, Sweetie?”  This not déjà vu in my mind, as this phrase from Mrs. Po is as common as “good morning, Sweetie.”

One medicine derived from ginseng, Master Po take, is blood thinner. This has tendency to make bruising more widespread.  Bruise below is true bruise on Master Po, but not from Mrs. Po’s kicks.  This bruise from fall in yellow creek from previous Master Po mishap.  This is Master Po's story on bruise and I am sticking to it. I do not want to give Mrs. Po anymore reason for retaliation kicks. Her legs are energized and restless too.
